PMOS management in Seer

Seer offers optional support for PMOS (formerly known as PCOS): symptom check-ins, related lab context you choose to upload, and pattern insights grounded in your own logs — so you can see what tends to move with your day-to-day, not a clinical verdict.

01

The naming shift

In May 2026, a global clinical and patient-organization consensus renamed polycystic ovary syndrome to polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome — PMOS — with a multi-year transition while both names remain in everyday search and conversation. Seer leads with PMOS and keeps PCOS discoverable so people still looking under the older name can find the same support.

02

How Seer helps

  • Opt into a PMOS management goal alongside any life stage — it is not locked to one cycle stage.
  • Log related symptoms on your daily timeline with the same calm capture flow as the rest of Seer.
  • Bring in lab results you choose to upload and review them in context with your other logs.
  • See pattern insights that stay tied to what you actually tracked — evidence before suggestions.

The goal is reflection between visits: clearer notes for yourself and, if you want, clearer context to share with your care team.

03

What you can track

Symptom check-ins can include patterns people often monitor with PMOS, such as:

  • Irregular or missed cycles
  • Acne and hirsutism
  • Hair thinning and weight change
  • Fatigue and mood change

When you upload labs, Seer can surface related markers in your history — including testosterone, fasting insulin, LH/FSH ratio, A1C, and SHBG — so trends sit next to the days you lived, not in a separate spreadsheet.

04

What Seer does not do

  • Diagnose PMOS or PCOS
  • Recommend treatment, medication, or clinical protocols
  • Replace advice from a licensed clinician
  • Claim accuracy guarantees or outcome promises

Getting started

In the app, add the PMOS management goal when it is relevant to you. You can keep cycle and reproductive health tracking off, or combine both — PMOS stays available as its own opt-in.
