Connect your Garmin watch to Seer
Garmin watches do not connect directly to Seer Health today. If you already sync your Garmin account to Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android) through the Garmin Connect app, Seer can import that data through its existing native health sync — the same path as other apps and wearables that share into Apple Health or Health Connect.
How the sync works
Data flows one way: from your Garmin device into Garmin Connect, then from Garmin Connect into Apple Health or Health Connect. Seer reads from Apple Health or Health Connect; it does not write back to Garmin.
Garmin Connect usually needs to be opened on your phone for new data to transfer to Apple Health or Health Connect. This is not a fully automatic background pipe — plan to open Garmin Connect after workouts or sleep if you want Seer to stay up to date.
Set up on iPhone (Apple Health)
In the Garmin Connect app:
- Open Settings (menu or profile, depending on your app version).
- Go to Connected Apps → Apple Health.
- Turn on the data types you want Garmin to share.
For step-by-step instructions from Garmin, see Sharing Your Garmin Connect Data With Apple Health on Garmin Support.
Set up on Android (Health Connect)
In the Garmin Connect app:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Third-Party Apps → Health Connect (wording may vary slightly by app version).
- Allow the data types you want Garmin to share with Health Connect.
For step-by-step instructions from Garmin, see Sharing Your Garmin Connect Data With Health Connect on Garmin Support.
Connect Seer to Apple Health or Health Connect
After Garmin data is appearing in Apple Health or Health Connect, connect that source in Seer so imports can start:
- Open the Seer Health app.
- Go to Settings → Connected Devices.
- On iPhone, connect Apple Health. On Android, connect Health Connect.
You can also reach Connected Devices from the home screen devices card when it is visible. Seer imports what Apple Health or Health Connect shares according to the permissions you grant.
Direct Garmin connection. Seer has applied for Garmin's developer API program; new approvals are paused with no ETA. This guide is the supported workaround until a direct Garmin integration ships.
